Karel Roden (born May 18, 1962 in České Budějovice , Czechoslovakia ) is a Czech actor .

Career

In 1984 Roden began his acting career in How Poets Lose Their Illusion . He then played in over 30 other European productions. In 2001 Roden made the leap to Hollywood with the film 15 Minutes of Fame . There he acted on the side of Edward Burns and Robert De Niro . Films like Blade II , Bulletproof Monk and The Bulletproof Monk and The Bourne Conspiracy followed . In 2006 Roden starred in the thriller Running Scared . In 2012 he got the role of the evil Nazi doctor Victor in Frankenstein's Army .

Roden has been nominated three times for the Czech Lion for Best Actor (1999, 2000 and 2001). He also received a 1997 nomination in the Best Supporting Actor category .
