Kari Øyre Slind (born October 22, 1991 ) is a Norwegian cross-country skier .

Career

Slind won bronze in the sprint at the Junior World Championships in Hinterzarten in 2010 and was world champion with the relay. On March 11, 2010, she made her debut in the cross-country skiing world cup in Drammen in the sprint , which she finished in 36th place. She won her first World Cup points in December 2010 with 22nd place in the sprint in Düsseldorf . At the Junior World Championships in 2011 in Otepää , Slind was again relay world champion and won the silver medal in the sprint and over 5 km freestyle. In February 2011 she reached 22nd place in the sprint in Drammen and thus set her best place in the World Cup. In December 2011 Slind was third in the Scandinavian Cup in Vuokatti over 2.5 km freestyle. With third place in the 10 km freestyle, she achieved her next podium in the Scandinavian Cup in December 2012 in Sjusjøen . At the Scandinavian Cup in Östersund in January 2013, Slind was fifth in the 10 km classic and fourth in the 10 km freestyle race. At the subsequent U23 World Championships in Liberec , she won the bronze medal in the skiathlon . In March 2015 she became Norwegian relay champion together with Astrid Øyre Slind and Silje Øyre Slind . In the 2015/16 season she took 16th place at the Nordic Opening in Ruka and 18th place at the 2016 Tour de Ski . At the end of the season, she achieved 15th place in the Ski Tour Canada , 20th place in the overall World Cup and 16th place in the Distance World Cup. In the 2016/17 season she came 26th in the World Cup mini-tour in Lillehammer and in second place in the 5 km freestyle and 30 km classic at the Norwegian championships in Gålå .

In the 2018/19 season, Slind took 24th place in the Lillehammer Triple, ninth place in the Tour de Ski 2018/19 and 25th place at the World Cup final in Québec , making it 23rd place in the overall World Cup and 19th place. Rank in the Distance World Cup. At the end of January 2019 she was first with the relay and third in the skiathlon at the Norwegian championships and third in the team sprint together with Silje Øyre Slind at the end of March 2019.
