Astrid Øyre Slind (born February 9, 1988 ) is a Norwegian cross-country skier .

Career

Slind made her debut in the cross-country skiing world cup in March 2008 at Holmenkollen in Oslo over 30 km freestyle, which she finished in 44th place. At her next World Cup competition in December 2008 over 10 km classic in Davos she achieved World Cup points for the first time with 22nd place and in the same month achieved her first top 10 placement in the Scandinavian Cup with eighth place over 15 km freestyle in the Lygna Skisenter . In January 2009 she made it into the top five for the first time in the Scandinavian Cup with fifth place over 10 km in Keuruu . She then won the silver medal in the skiathlon at the U23 World Championships in 2009 in Praz de Lys Sommand . In a stage of the World Cup final in March 2009 in Falun , which was also held as a skiathlon , Slind came in 20th and finished the stage race in 25th overall. - your best result in an individual World Cup race. In December 2009 Slind won her only race in the Scandinavian Cup in Vuokatti over 10 km freestyle. At the U23 World Championships in Hinterzarten in 2010 , Slind became world champion in skiathlon. In March 2013 she won the Flyktningerennet over 40 km classic and in April 2015 the Svalbard skimaraton over 42 km classic.
