Karin Koch is a Swiss film producer .

Career

Karin Koch first devoted herself to the organization of cultural events and concerts in and around Zurich, then to the development of the international music label RecRec Music . She then took over the management of the video shop in Zurich , where she was responsible for production management for a number of film and video productions.

Karin Koch is a partner in the Zurich-based production company Dschoint Ventschr , which she has been running since 1994 together with the filmmakers Werner Schweizer and Samir . She is a graduate of the script development seminar “Step by Step” (1998) and the European producer training EAVE (European Producers Workshop) (1999).

Karin Koch has produced 30 long documentaries and feature films, both Swiss productions and international co-productions (as of 2020). Swiss directors like Sabine Boss and Sabine Gisiger have worked with her repeatedly. Films produced and co-produced by her have been a. shown at the Berlinale , Locarno Festival , IDFA , Hot Docs Toronto and other film festivals

In addition to her work as a producer, she is co-director of the “Creative Producing” practice area in the Master of Arts in Film at the Zurich University of the Arts ZHDK .
