Karl-Heinz Ronecker

Karl-Heinz Ronecker (born September 28, 1936 in Karlsruhe ; † March 20, 2019 in Kirchzarten ) was a German Protestant pastor , provost in Jerusalem and author .

Life

Ronecker studied Protestant theology in Bethel , Göttingen and Heidelberg . From 1961 to 1963 he was vicar at the Ludwigskirche in Freiburg , then a religious teacher and full-time district youth pastor in Karlsruhe.

In 1967 he returned to Freiburg as a student pastor. From 1973 to 1988 he was pastor at the Ludwigskirche and dean of the Freiburg church district of the Evangelical Church in Baden . In 1991 he was given the most important pastoral position of the Evangelical Church in Germany , the Evangelical German Language Congregation in Jerusalem . Until 2001, as provost of Jerusalem, he was also responsible for the Christians in Israel , the West Bank and Jordan .

He was married to Ingeborg Ronecker .

  • Ronecker was a member of the board of directors of the Jerusalem Association.

Services

One year after the Freiburg Catholic Congress, in 1978 he initiated the first Evangelical District Church Congress.
