Karl August Arnold Wietfeldt (born June 5, 1891 in Höxter , † March 29, 1964 in Iserlohn ) was a German lawyer and politician .

Life

Born as the son of a farmer and landlord, Wietfeldt studied law and political science in Göttingen and Munich after attending high school in Hanover . During his studies in 1910 he became a member of the Frisia Göttingen fraternity . He took part in the First World War as a war volunteer , initially as a lieutenant in the reserve , from 1915 as a field artillery officer on the Eastern and Western Fronts . In 1919 he was a co-founder of the German Democratic Party (DDP). After exams, legal clerkship and doctorate in 1920 to become Dr. iur. In 1921 he went to Hanover as a court assessor in the Reich Finance Administration . In 1922 he was City Counsel , 1923 Mayor in Peine .

In 1933 he became a member of the NSDAP (membership number 3.184.261). In 1934 he went to Glogau as a senior public prosecutor . From 1936 to 1938 he worked in Berlin as a department head at the Reich Commissioner for Pricing . In 1937 he became district court director in Berlin. He worked for the Reich Commissioner for Education and was subordinate to Hermann Göring's ministry. He became senior councilor in Berlin-Friedenau and worked in the business area of ​​the four-year plan . From 1938 to 1944 he was Lord Mayor of Iserlohn, then Lord Mayor of Witten until 1945 .

After the Second World War , he was initially banned from working in 1945 . From 1947 he was head of department in the State Commissariat for Combating Corruption in North Rhine-Westphalia and in 1949 became a lecturer at the South Westphalian civil service college. From 1954 he worked as a lawyer and specialist lawyer for administrative law in Iserlohn. There he became district home administrator of the Iserlohn district.
