Karl Friedrich Hermann von Beeren (born September 25, 1749 in Kleinbeeren , † April 8, 1817 in Kyritz ) was a Prussian major general .

Life

Karl Friedrich Hermann was the son of Karl Ludwig Ernst von Beeren (born January 1, 1717, † January 31, 1769 in Lichterfelde) and his wife Ottonia Rudolfine, née von Otterstedt. His father was the heir to large and small berries and birch wood.

Military career

Berries was accepted as an Estandartenjunker in the Gens d'armes regiment of the Prussian army in 1764 . Here he became a cornet on May 12, 1765 and a lieutenant on October 10, 1771. As such, Beeren and his regiment took part in the War of the Bavarian Succession in 1778/79 . In the further course of his military career he was accepted into the Order of St. John on June 1, 1786 and promoted to Rittmeister on January 22, 1787 and appointed squadron chief. As a major , Beeren took part in the campaign in Poland in 1794/95 . On May 9, 1797 he was transferred to the "von Ansbach-Bayereuth" dragoon regiment No. 5 and promoted to lieutenant colonel the following year . As a colonel , Beeren became commander of the cuirassier regiment "von Malschitzky" No. 2 on October 16, 1800 . On the occasion of a review , King Friedrich Wilhelm III drew him . for his long service on May 22nd, 1801 with the order Pour le Mérite . After the farewell of the previous owner, Beeren became chief of the cuirassier regiment "von Schleinitz" No. 2 on October 17, 1805. On May 20, 1806 he was promoted to major general with a patent from May 29, 1805. Berries led his regiment in 1806 during the Fourth Coalition War against the French in the battle of Jena and Auerstedt . After the peace of Tilsit he was put on half pay in 1807 . It was no longer used in the Wars of Liberation . Berries was given farewell on September 2, 1813 with an annual pension of 800 thalers .

He died unmarried on April 8, 1817.
