Karl Gotthold Krause

Karl Gotthold Krause (born August 16, 1837 in Dresden , † October 25, 1899 in Berlin ) was a German lawyer and politician ( National Liberal Party ). He was a member of the German Reichstag and the Saxon Landtag .

Live and act

The son of a lawyer studied 1855/56 at the universities in Aix and Paris and then from November 1856 to July 1858 at the University of Leipzig law . In 1857 he became a member of the Corps Saxonia Leipzig . After he had passed his state examination in law, he joined the expedition of the lawyer and notary Zacharias in Dresden in August 1858 . In January 1860 he passed his state law examination. He then worked first as an actuary for the financial procurator and lawyer Stimmel in Plauen and then from July 1861 to December for the lawyer Dr. Clerk in Chemnitz . In 1865 he settled in Dresden as a lawyer .

From 1869 to 1875 he was a representative of the 38th rural constituency and from 1875 to 1881 as a representative of the 3rd constituency of the city of Leipzig in the second chamber of the Saxon state parliament. He was also a city councilor of Dresden from 1872 to 1877. From 1874 to 1877 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Saxony 23 ( Plauen , Oelsnitz ) and from 1890 to 1893 for the constituency of Sangerhausen - Eckartsberga .

In April 1886 he moved to Berlin, where he became a landowner and worked as a city councilor.
