Karl Heinrich Schmidt

Karl Heinrich Schmidt (born September 26, 1817 in Zweibrücken , † May 24, 1882 ibid) was a German lawyer and member of the German Reichstag .

Schmidt attended high schools in Zweibrücken and Speyer and studied law in Munich . After completing his legal preparatory service in Bavaria, he was a lawyer for nine years . Later he worked in the magistrate and public prosecutor's office and as an assessor at the district court, state procurator at the district court and state procurator substitute at the court of appeal in Landau . In 1865 he became 1st and 2nd state procurator at the Zweibrücken Court of Appeal and from 1865 to 1871 he was a member of the Appeals Court.

He was a member of the Bavarian Chamber of Deputies from 1869 to 1882 for the constituencies of Zweibrücken- Pirmasens and Speyer. From 1871 to 1881 he was a member of the German Reichstag , where he belonged to the National Liberal Party for the constituency Pfalz 4 (Zweibrücken) .
