Karl Heinrich von Paczensky and Tenczin (born September 11, 1731 in Ober-Glauche ( Oels district ), † March 1, 1806 in Seifersdorf ( Ohlau district )) was a Prussian major general and heir to Seifersdorf.

Life

origin

His parents were Georg Heinrich von Paczensky and Tenczin (* April 18, 1695; † May 28, 1778) and his wife Rosine Sophie, born von Kessel and Zeutsch (* January 10, 1708; † March 17, 1768).

Military career

He came in 1758 as a standard junker in the cuirassier regiment "Alt-Krockow" and on January 21, 1758 became a cornet . During the Seven Years' War he fought in the battle of Hochkirch , Kay , Kunersdorf and Torgau . For his behavior in the battle of Freiberg he received a special award and commendation from Seydlitz . During this time he became a lieutenant on December 10, 1761.

It was not until September 10, 1779 that he was promoted to the rank of chief of staff. As such, he took part in the War of the Bavarian Succession in 1778/79 and became Rittmeister and company commander on January 17, 1779. On June 14, 1786 he was promoted to major and on October 24, 1793 was appointed squadron chief . On April 7, 1797 he was appointed regimental commander and on May 20, 1798 promoted to lieutenant colonel. On the occasion of a review he received the order Pour le Mérite on June 26, 1798 in Breslau . On May 20, 1799 he was promoted to colonel and on December 8, 1803 he received his resignation as major general with a pension of 800 thalers. He died on March 1, 1806 on his Seifersdorf estate.

On September 17, 1776 he married Elisabeth Helene von Richthofen (March 1, 1751 - August 19, 1781) from the Malitsch family. The couple had the following children:

  • Wilhelm Karl Heinrich Ernst (7 November 1777 - 19 January 1799), second lieutenant in the Cuirassier Regiment No. 1

After the death of his first wife, he married Sophie Friederike von Tschischwitz (* February 19, 1758, † October 28, 1827) from the house of Camin on September 22, 1782. The couple had the following children:

  • Beate Friederike Gottliebe (* September 28, 1783; † January 1, 1849) ⚭ Count Ferdinand von Einsiedel (* June 11, 1774; † June 23, 1833), miner captain, son of Detlev Carl von Einsiedel
  • Sylvius Heinrich Adolf (* July 24, 1786; † June 16, 1860), head stable master in the Saxon-Altenburg master stable ⚭ Mathilde von Minckwitz (1789–1861)
