Karl Heinz Hederich
Karl Heinz (Henry) wild radish (* 29. October 1902 in Wunsiedel , † 10. March 1976 in Mönchengladbach - Rheydt ) was a German official of the student and cultural policy in the era of National Socialism .
Life
After attending secondary school, Hederich completed an apprenticeship as a locksmith up to Obersekunda. He then worked as an office assistant and construction worker. Hederich was a member of the federal Oberland . In 1922 he joined the NSDAP and took part in the Hitler-Ludendorff putsch in 1923.
After studying civil engineering at the Higher Technical State College in Nuremberg and after completing his Abitur, he studied at the technical universities in Gdansk and Munich with a Dipl.-Ing. Then it was taken over by the Reichsbahn.
Hederich was both a member of the National Socialist German Student Union (NSDStB) and from 1925 the Munich Burschenschaft Arminia in the German Burschenschaft (DB). "Due to his influence", it is said, there was "close cooperation between weapons students and NSDStB students" in Munich .
In 1933 the NSDAP appointed him to be its representative for dealing with all questions affecting the student associations. In personal union, he was both the German Student Union (DSt) and the NSDStB.
Hederich played an important role in the DB, both as deputy federal leader and as editor of the association organ Burschenschaftliche Blätter . The details at the time of taking over this second function differ. The Biographical Lexicon of the German Burschenschaft dates back to 1932, an analysis of the Burschenschaftliche Blätter to June 1933.
As deputy federal leader of the DB he negotiated the merger with the General German Burschenbund (ADB) together with Gerhard Krüger . With Gerhard Krüger and Oskar Stäbel , the chairman of the German student body and the NSDStB , he agreed in June 1933 guidelines on the reorganization of the student associations . These provided for the Führer principle , the filling of management positions with National Socialist liaison students and the exclusion of non-Aryans and Jewish relatives in accordance with a new law of honor of the General German Arms Ring .
From 1934 to 1935, Hederich was managing director of the party official examination commission for the protection of National Socialist literature (PPK), then from 1935 presidential councilor of the Reichsschrifttumskammer . Further activities for the PPK, the Reich Ministry for Public Enlightenment and Propaganda and as Vice President of the Reich Chamber of Literature followed.
After the end of National Socialism, Hederich was interned by the military authorities as being charged with National Socialism . After returning to Mönchengladbach, he worked as a freelancer.
In the Soviet occupation zone , all of Hederich's writings were placed on the list of literature to be sorted out.
