Ferdinando Terruzzi

Ferdinando Terruzzi (born February 17, 1924 in Sesto San Giovanni , † April 9, 2014 in Sarteano ) was an Italian track cyclist .

In 1942 Ferdinando Terruzzi was Italian champion in the sprint of amateurs. At the Olympic Games in London in 1948 , he and Renato Perona won the gold medal in the tandem race .

From 1949 to 1967 Terruzzi was a professional racing driver and mainly drove six-day races . He contested a total of 122, of which he won 23, together with various drivers, including Lucien Gillen , Jacques Anquetil , Peter Post and Leandro Faggin . His favorite partner was the Australian Reginald Arnold .

Terruzzi worked with other cyclists in the 1949 German film " Um eine Nasenlänge " (leading role Theo Lingen ).
