Thomas Lance
Thomas Glasson Lance (born June 14, 1891 in St. Pancras , † February 29, 1976 in Brighton ) was an English track cyclist and Olympic champion.
At the Olympic Games in Antwerp in 1920 , Thomas Lance and Harry Ryan won the gold medal in the tandem race .
Lance and Ryan started together for the Club Polytechnic Cycling Club , Ryan as the front and Lance as the back. Shortly before the Olympic Games, the two set a new British record over a quarter mile.
After the end of his cycling career, Thomas Lance became a bookmaker in Brighton.
