Daniel "Daan" van Dijk (born May 10, 1907 in The Hague ; † November 22, 1986 ibid) was a Dutch track cyclist .

In 1928 Daan van Dijk and Bernard Leene won the gold medal in the tandem race at the Olympic Games in Amsterdam . After the birth of his first child in 1937, he ended his active cycling career and became a competition judge.

During the war , van Dijk and his wife used the tandem with which he had won the gold medal to “ hoard ” food . The bike is exhibited today in the Olympic Stadium in Amsterdam .
