Karl Hermann Haack

Karl Hermann Haack (born February 17, 1940 in Extertal-Bösingfeld ) is a German politician ( SPD ). From 1998 to 2005 he was the Federal Government Commissioner for the Issues of Disabled People .

Life and work

After graduating from high school in 1961, Haack first completed an internship in a pharmacy in Oerlinghausen and then began studying pharmacy at the Free University of Berlin in 1964 , which he finished in 1967 when he was appointed pharmacist. From 1967 to 1969 he still studied history , political science and sociology in Berlin and then worked for the Federal Association of the Pharmaceutical Industry in Frankfurt am Main until 1971 . Haack was the owner of a pharmacy ("Sternberg-Apotheke") in his birthplace Extertal- Bösingfeld until June 30, 2008, which he took over from his mother in 1971, succeeding his father.

Karl Hermann Haack is married and has two children.

Political party

He has been a member of the SPD since 1968.

MP

Haack was a member of the district council of the Lippe district from 1973 to 1987 and has also been a member of the municipal council of his home town of Extertal since 1975. From 1979 to 1994 he held the office of mayor there.

From 1987 to 2005 he was a member of the German Bundestag .

He has always entered the Bundestag as a directly elected member of the Lippe I constituency . Most recently he achieved 49.5% of the first votes in the 2002 Bundestag election .

Public offices

From 1998 to 2005 he was the Federal Government Commissioner for the interests of disabled people.

Social Commitment

From 2005 to 2009 he was President of the German Disabled Sports Association (DBS).
