Karl Johann Gustav von Ekesparre , Herr auf Kandel (born August 16, 1746 in Würtzen , † July 15, 1806 in Kadvel ) was an officer and state politician on the Baltic island of Ösel .

Life

After his military career, which he finished as a major , he became a district judge for the Öselsche knighthood . In the years 1740/41 he was sent together with the district administrator of Stackelberg as a deputy of the knighthood to the Duke of Courland and Semgallia to represent the interests of the island of Ösel. He then worked as a district administrator and was elected land marshal from 1797 to 1800 . Since 1760 he was the owner of Würtzen and in 1772 of Jerwemetz auf Ösel.

Karl Johann Gustav married Margaretha Elisabeth Guillemot de Villebois in 1775 , a daughter of the Russian major general Daniel Guillemot de Villebois . Their only child was Christine Dorothea von Ekesparre (1778–1857), who was married to Peter Ludwig von Güldenstubbe (1772–1819).
