Karl Ludwig Biedenweg , from 1917 Freiherr von Biedenweg , (born July 1, 1864 in Hanover , † March 5, 1940 in Münster ) was a Prussian administrative lawyer and Minister of State in the Principality of Lippe (1913-1918).

Life

Biedenweg began in 1886 as a court trainee and in 1888 as a government trainee for the government in Hanover . On June 20, 1891, he passed the Grand State Examination and from September 1891 worked as a government assessor at the Tondern district office . From 1894 he worked in the government in Lüneburg , later in Hildesheim and from 1901 as a councilor at the senior presidium in Schleswig . From 1907 he worked as a senior councilor at the senior council of the Province of Saxony in Magdeburg . From 1908 he worked as an unskilled worker in the Prussian Ministry of Finance, from 1908 as a Secret Finance Council and Lecturing Council, and from 1910 as a Secret Upper Finance Council.

From January 1, 1913 to November 9, 1918, Biedenweg was Minister of State for the Principality of Lippe. On November 1, 1918, at the request of Prince Leopold IV, he was retired. But on November 13, 1918 he was commissioned by the Lippe People's and Soldiers' Council with the provisional performance of government affairs. The contract was canceled on February 10, 1919.

Biedenweg was raised to the status of a Prussian baron in 1917. He was the holder of the Lippe House Order, 1st class, and the Grand Cross of the Order of Henry the Lion .
