Karl Ludwig von Lüderitz (* 1714 ; † February 11, 1778 in Berlin ), was a Prussian colonel and chief of the second artillery regiment (Breslau) .

Life

Karl Ludwig was a member of the Altmark noble family of Lüderitz . He was a son of the Prussian forest master Ludolf Georg von Lüderitz († 1751). He remained unmarried and without a physical heir.

Career

In August 1730 he joined the Prussian artillery as a bombardier . On November 11, 1739 Lüderitz was promoted to seconde - and on October 24, 1742 to prime lieutenant . His promotion to staff captain took place on August 15, 1750, the real captain on June 23, 1756. In October 1756 he had received the order Pour le Mérite because of Lowo seat . Lüderitz rose to major on May 11, 1759 , to lieutenant colonel on December 27, 1761, and finally to colonel on May 20, 1765. On March 4, 1770 he was appointed chief of the 2nd artillery regiment in Breslau . In August 1777 he asked the king to hand over the entire artillery to him. In September of the same year, however, the king made Georg Ernst von Holtzendorff responsible.
