from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Karl Christian Bernhard Gottlieb Ritter and Edler von Paschwitz , also Carl von Paschwitz (born February 2, 1793 in Hamm , Westphalia , † March 7, 1872 in Görlitz ) was royal Prussian lieutenant colonel and honorary citizen of Oranienburg .

Life

He came from a family from the Principality of Bayreuth , whose ancestor Samuel Parsch had been raised to the rank of imperial knight in 1715 .

Paschwitz married on June 22, 1819 in Frankfurt (Oder) Marie von Wobeser (born May 26, 1801, † September 18, 1887 in Görlitz).

From 1828 to 1838 Paschwitz was commander of the 1st Battalion, the 24th Landwehr - regiment to Oranienburg. From 1838 he was commander of the 1st battalion in the infantry regiment "Graf Schwerin" (3rd Pomeranian) No. 14 at Stargard in Pomerania .

After his transfer, on April 26, 1838, as a royal Prussian major , the magistrate of the city of Oranienburg was the first to give him the newly introduced honorary citizenship of the city. The honorary citizenship diploma was forwarded to him at the new place of work in Stargard. The official justification for the granting of honorary citizenship was: "In recognition of the really liberal behavior towards the entire citizenry ... [and his] willingness to ease the unworthy, oppressive lot of the military situation for everyone" during his years as battalion commander in Oranienburg . He had "enjoyed general love and respect through his particularly friendly demeanor".
