Karlheinz Kornhäusl

Karlheinz Manuel Kornhäusl (born January 1, 1982 ) is an Austrian politician of the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP). Since December 17, 2019, he has been a member of the Federal Council sent by the Styrian state parliament .

Life

education and profession

Karlheinz Kornhäusl began after the Matura on Bundesgymnasium Rein in Rein and the obligations of military service in 2001, a study of human medicine , which he in 2009 at the Medical University of Graz with the promotion to Doctor of Medicine graduated. He then completed his training as a general practitioner and from 2014 to 2019 the training to become a specialist in internal medicine at the State Hospital (LKH) of Southern Styria at the Wagna location , where he has been a specialist in internal medicine since September 2019. In September 2018 Kornhäusl began a MBA -Studies Healthcare and Hospital Management at the University of Linz .

In the Medical Association , he is deputy chairman of the Curia for Employed Doctors and member of the Board of Directors of the Styrian Medical Association . Kornhäusl is the father of two children. In 2020 he became a board member of the Grazer AK .

politics

Kornhäusl was a member of the Young People's Party (JVP) from 1999 to 2017, of which he was a member of the Styrian national leadership. Since April 2018 he has been the ÖVP district party chairman in the Graz district of Geidorf and since October 2017 deputy city group chairman of the Austrian Workers' Union (ÖAAB) Graz. In the 2017 National Council election , he ran in 27th place on the federal list as well as in sixth place in the regional constituency of Graz and the surrounding area and in 20th place in the Styrian electoral district .

After the state election in 2019 , he was at the beginning of the XVIII. Legislative period delegated to the Federal Council by the Styrian state parliament on December 17, 2019 .
