Karlheinz Wenzel
Karlheinz Wenzel (born August 11, 1932 in Wolfsberg ) is a German painter and graphic artist .
Life
After an apprenticeship as a commercial applicant from 1947 to 1950 in Wittenberg, Karlheinz Wenzel studied from 1950 to 1955 at the University of Fine and Applied Arts Berlin-Weißensee under Horst Strempel , Arno Mohr and Bert Heller, among others . After completing his studies, he initially worked as a freelancer in Lutherstadt Wittenberg , where he headed a painting and drawing circle at the VEB nitrogen works in Piesteritz . In 1965 daughter Saskia was born in Wittenberg , who is also a painter.
Karlheinz Wenzel's nephew is the songwriter and musician Hans-Eckardt Wenzel .
Karlheinz Wenzel has lived and worked in Neubrandenburg since 1970 , where he has also headed a painting group since 2002.
Karlheinz Wenzel was a member of the Association of Visual Artists of the GDR , after 1990 he became a member of the Künstlerbund Mecklenburg und Vorpommern eV in the BBK .
