Karolin Klimek

Karolin Klimek (* 1969 in Bremen ) is a German illustrator and lecturer.

After high school she studied at the Faculty of Art and Design at the University of the Arts in Bremen- Überseestadt and closed the studies in fashion design as a Master from. Since 1997 she has been working as a freelance illustrator with a focus on fashion in Hamburg-Eppendorf . She works with ink , Indian ink, pencil, felt pen , acrylic and linoleum paint on image carriers such as paper , handmade paper and cardboard . Graphic and painting techniques such as watercolor , collage , ink painting , cardboard and linocut as well as the image processing program Adobe Photoshop are used.

She designed and created illustrations for Campari, Deutsche Post , F & W Limited in Hong Kong, Wempe , Xenox for the fashion labels Allegra, FKK Fashion, Zero Clothing and illustrated magazines Amica , Für Sie , Maxi , Petra , Vogue Nippon and Wellfit.

In 2006 she designed the 43 covers of the Weekend Classics series for Deutsche Grammophon .

Karolin Klimek teaches fashion, fashion illustration and figurative drawing at the JAK fashion design and design academy in Hamburg.
