Karsten Petrzika

Karsten Petrzika (born November 16, 1968 in Hennigsdorf ) is a German football and handball commentator .

life and career

After graduating from high school , Petrzika worked as an editor for the same newspaper after completing an internship at the Märkische Allgemeine . From 1990 to 1995 he studied journalism , sports science and politics at the University of Leipzig . In 2005 he received his diploma in journalism from the university. Since 2010 he has been a lecturer at the University of Leipzig.

He worked for ORB (Ostdeutscher Rundfunk Brandenburg) from 1992 to 1997. This was followed by an eight-year commitment at DSF (now Sport1), Premiere , Sat.1 and ProSieben . Petrzika acted as a live commentator at the 2002 Winter Olympics . From 2006 he worked as a permanent freelancer at RTL , Sport1 , Sky Deutschland and Sportdigital . Since 1994 he has been commenting on handball games from the Handball Bundesliga and the DHB Cup . He also comments on football games from the Bundesliga , the2. Bundesliga and international matches.

Petrzika is married and has two children.
