history

In 1999, the General Chapter of the Order sent two Carthusians from the Great Charterhouse , who initially lived with the Capuchins in Seoul . In 2002 a plot of 120 hectares was acquired, on which a monastery with eight cells was built in 2004. In 2006 two more cells were added. In the meantime a novitiate has been established. Two monks from the Marienau Charterhouse ( Baden-Württemberg ) also went to South Korea.
