Kaspar von Mülinen (born January 4, 1481 in Bern ; † March 18, 1538 ibid) was a Swiss nobleman and politician.

family

Kaspar von Mülinen came from the Aargau knight family von Mülinen . He was the son of the marriage of Johann Friedrich (also: Hans Friedrich) von Mülinen and Barbara von Scharnachthal, the widow of the mayor Niklaus von Diesbach , who died in 1476, and heiress of the Brandis reign . In 1500 he married Verena von Diesbach, daughter of Ludwig von Diesbach .

Life

In 1500 he became a member of the Grand Council and mayor of Burgdorf . 1506 he went on a pilgrimage to the Holy Land and was in Jerusalem for the Knights of the Holy grave defeat. In 1509 he became bailiff of Grandson , and in 1510 also of Orbe . In 1516 he entered the service of Duke Ulrich von Württemberg . From 1517 to 1527 Kaspar von Mülinen was a member of the Small Council.

Kaspar von Mülinen was repeatedly active as the magistrate of the republic and envoy .
