Katerynopil ( Ukrainian Катеринопіль ; Russian Катеринополь Katerinopol ) is a village in the Ukrainian Dnipropetrovsk Oblast with about 360 inhabitants (2012). Katerynopil is the administrative center of the district council of the same name .
history
Founded in the early 19th century, the first written mention in historical documents comes from 1830.
geography
Katerynopil is located on the Saksahan in the northwest of the Krynichky Rajons, 87 km west of the Dnipro Oblast center . The district center of Krynichky is 39 km east of the village. The urban-type settlement of Shchorsk is located 8 km southeast of Katerynopil. In the west, the municipality borders on the Pyatychatky Rajon .
Community structure
The district council has a total size of 63.774 km² and a total population of 903 inhabitants. The population density is 14 inhabitants per km². In addition to Katerynopil, the district council also includes the villages
