Katharina Konradi (* 1988 in Bishkek ) is a Kyrgyzstan- born opera, song and concert singer with a soprano voice who works in Germany .

biography

Training and first appearances

Katharina Konradi grew up in Kyrgyzstan, her mother tongue is Russian. At the age of 15 she came to Hamburg, where she graduated from high school and took singing lessons from Katja Piweck . From 2009 to completing her bachelor's degree in 2013, she studied singing with Julie Kaufmann as well as contemporary song with Axel Bauni and song design with Eric Schneider at the Berlin University of the Arts . From October 2014 to her master’s degree in July 2016, she studied singing with Christiane Iven and song design with Donald Sulzen at the Munich University of Music and Theater . Master classes with Helmut Deutsch and Klesie Kelly-Moog rounded off her training. She had her first engagements since summer 2013 at the Munich Chamber Opera and in the 2014/2015 season at the Theater Hof, where she made her debut as Anne Frank in the monooper Das Tagebuch der Anne Frank by Grigori Frid .

Development as an opera singer

From the 2015/2016 to 2017/2018 season, Katharina Konradi was a member of the ensemble of the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden , where she performed major roles in the lyrical soprano. After her Hamburg debut as Ännchen in Freischütz in October 2017, she became a soloist at the Hamburg State Opera in 2018 involved. At the Bayreuth Festival, she first appeared in the summer of 2019 as a young shepherd in Tannhäuser and as a flower girl in Parsifal . In March 2019, Rolando Villazón presented it to Arte as part of the program Stars of Tomorrow .

Work as a song singer

As an interpreter of art songs , she a. together with the pianist Eric Schneider , a broad repertoire from Viennese classical music to contemporary music and does not shy away from juxtaposing different stylistic epochs. Her debut CD, released in 2018, is also entirely dedicated to the art of song.
