Katharina and her wild stallions is a two-part German pornographic film by producer Alois Brummer from 1983. The softcore version was released on February 22, 1983 under the title Katharina - Die nackte Zarin as a feature film in cinemas.

The film is set in Russia in 1775 . Catherine the Great is ruler and is at the height of her power. However, the ruler prefers to devote herself to the sexual activities of her court than to day-to-day business. A horde of Cossacks , led by Pugachev , threatens the rural population. The rebels roam the country, pillaging. Meanwhile, the merry Tsarina in Saint Petersburg in Group - orgies . A lieutenant from Vienna wants to free Russia from this situation and opposes the hustle and bustle.

The film appeared, as was often the case back then, in a softcore and a porn version. The soft sex version is titled Katharina - The Naked Tsarina and alternatively Katharina - Exzesse am Tsarenhof . The film is 117 minutes long in the theatrical version and only 97 minutes in the all-video version, but does not contain any explicit depictions of sex, but many scenes of violence.
There were also at least two hardcore versions of Katharina - The Sado-Tsarina and Katharina and her wild stallions . In 2005, the production company Herzog Video released a two-part Director's Cut of the film on DVD.
