Katherine De Hetre

Katherine Jean De Hetre (born September 18, 1946 in Compton , California - † December 29, 2007 there ) was an American actress .

life and career

De Hetre was the daughter of Gertrude De Hetre and had a sister named Molly. Her mother was of Dutch ancestry, her father was of Irish - Scottish descent.

She graduated from the Yale School of Drama in 1971 ; during her student days she played Bunny Barnham in Terrence McNally's Where Has Tommy Flowsers Gone? .

She was best known for film and television roles in the 1980s. In 1972 she played Patricia Bates in Romulus Linney's The Love Suicide at Schofield Barracks and in 1975 Letta and Miss Forsythe in Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman on Broadway .

On December 29, 2007, Katherine De Hetre was driving home to her family in southern Oregon when she was involved in a car accident on Route 101 north of Los Angeles, which resulted in her passing away at the age of 61; she was buried in Compton.

De Hetre was married to actor Charles Levin from 1983 until her death ; The two sons Ben and Jesse come from this relationship. De Hetre was survived by her mother, sister, husband and two sons.
