Katja Röder
Katja Röder (born November 16, 1975 in Coburg ) is a German author and actress .
Life
Röder was born in Coburg as the daughter of a teacher couple. She graduated from high school in Ebern, Franconia, and then studied philosophy in Munich and law in Erlangen . After dropping out of her studies, she completed an acting training in Munich from 2003 to 2006. She has been living as an author in Berlin since 2008 . She is married to the screenwriter Fred Breinersdorfer .
Author
So far, Röder has written six radio crime scenes, three of them together with Fred Breinersdorfer , and the play "The Devil and the Diva", in which Judy Winter played the leading role. As a film author, in 2010 she received a grant from the program “ MINT and Equal Opportunities in Fictional TV Formats” with the film project “Measles Party” of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research .
Her first full-length TV film A child is wanted with Heino Ferch , Silke Bodenbender , Johann von Bülow u. a. in the main roles, directed by Urs Egger , premiered on September 22, 2017 as part of the Tatort Eifel festival and was broadcast on arte on December 15, 2017 . In Germany it achieved a market share of almost 6% and 1,814,000 viewers. In France there were 1,259,000 viewers for “Un enfant disparaît”, which corresponds to a market share of 5.1%. In both countries this was the best annual value on this program place and in Germany it is in second place on the "eternal list". The film was awarded the audience award of the German Television Crime Award 2018 for Heino Ferch as best male actor, nominated for the award of the German Academy for Television and by ARTE for the competition of the television film festival Baden-Baden . In 2019, her script was awarded the Christian Golden Compass Media Prize. The second film with Heino Ferch as Commissioner Ingo Thiel , “ The Trace of Murderers ”, was shown on October 18, 2019 on arte with a viewership of 1,156,000.
