Katrin Blum

Katrin Blum (* 1977 in Hanover ) is a German journalist.

Career

Blum grew up as the daughter of German-Persian parents and studied English , communication and psychology in Bamberg , Essen and Düsseldorf . Supported by scholarships from the Süddeutsche Zeitung and the Karl Gerold Foundation , she completed a voluntary training course at the German School of Journalism in Munich in 2006 .

In 2011, Bild am Sonntag Blum was one of the “100 Germans to whom the future belongs”. In 2011, the initiative “ Germany - Land of Ideas ” ranked Blum among the “100 women of tomorrow”.

Blum lives as a freelance journalist in Berlin and writes reports , portraits and other texts, etc. a. for the Stuttgarter Zeitung , Geo , Süddeutsche Zeitung , SZ-Magazin and Neon .
