Katzenzungen is a German television film by Torsten C. Fischer from 2003 , which was produced on behalf of NDR and ARTE . The main roles are played with Birge Schade , Meret Becker and Ina Weisse as three friends who could hardly be more different.

The three friends Nora, Dodo and Claire are almost inseparable, although each is completely different. The three come from the same city and did their Abitur together, but they now live all over Germany . To keep their friendship , they meet every year for a short vacation on the island of Rügen . During their beach hikes together, the three women remember their time together. They reveal their deeply-kept secrets, which creates tension.

Katzenzungen was shot from November 15, 2002 to December 13, 2002 on the Baltic Sea island of Rügen . AllMedia Pictures was responsible for the production . It was first broadcast on October 31, 2003 on ARTE ; on September 15, 2004 , the film was broadcast as a Wednesday film on First on First .

Awards

Film editor Benjamin Hembus was nominated for the German Camera Prize 2004 in the category “Best Editing - TV Film”.

Birge Schade in 2005 received the German Television Award as Best Actress in a supporting role , at the same time for Hotte in Paradise (2003) and Delphi summer (2004).
