Theo Bierkens

Theo Bierkens (born April 9, 1955 in the Netherlands ) is a Dutch cameraman .

Life

Theo Bierkens had already worked in film for ten years before he trained as a cameraman at the American Film Institute . After working as a lighting technician and camera assistant, he made his debut as a cameraman in 1982 with the Dutch television series The Secret of the Seventh Way . Bierkens was awarded the German Camera Prize in 1994 and 2007 for his camera work on the documentary King of the Last Days and on the movie Der Liebeswunsch . For his work on the two television films Heaven on Earth and The Lawyer and His Guest , he was awarded the German Television Prize in 2003 as best cameraman.
