Keegan Smith (born June 23, 1998 in Wilmington , North Carolina ) is an American tennis player .

Career

Keegan Smith, who did not take part in tournaments on the Junior Tour, played tennis for his high school team and also college tennis for the UCLA team after joining the UCLA team in 2017. In the 2018/19 season, his record in individual 24 was: 6 and in doubles 27: 2. At the side of his doubles partner Maxime Cressy , he became NCAA Men's Tennis Champion in doubles. Together they were also in first place in the ITA doubles ranking, in singles it came in 20th.

In addition to his studies, he has also participated in professional tournaments. In 2019 in Aptos he won his first match with a Challenger , otherwise he mostly played on the third-rate ITF Future Tour , where he already won a title in doubles in 2017. In 2017, it was also the highest in the ranking with a place in the top 1000 in the world rankings. After winning the NCAA Championships with Cressy 2019, they received a wildcard for the doubles competition in the Hall of Fame Open , a tournament on the ATP Tour .
