Normal way | Ascent from the Kürsingerhütte (demanding mountain hike) |
The Keeskogel is 3291 m above sea level. A. high mountain in the Venediger group of the Hohe Tauern in Austria . The summit is about 4 km as the crow flies northwest of Großvenediger ( 3657 m ). The marked, glacier-free normal ascent from the Kürsingerhütte ( 2548 m ), in snow-free and dry conditions, represents a relatively easy access to the summit requiring a walking time of 1½ to 2 hours ( sure-footedness required). When the weather permits, the view from the summit to the north side of the Großvenediger or the Tauern main ridge and the glacier landscape of the Ober- and Untersulzbachkees is particularly impressive .
