Sir Keith Douglas Seaman KCVO , OBE (born June 11, 1920 - June 30, 2013 ) was Governor of the Australian state of South Australia .

Until 1977 Seaman served in the Uniting Church in Australia . On September 1, 1977, he was appointed governor.

On February 24, 1978, The Advertiser newspaper reported rumors that Seaman would be resigning. Robin Millhouse, the only member of the Democratic Party in parliament, wanted to put this on the agenda at a parliamentary session, but was turned off by the Prime Minister. At a subsequent press conference, the Prime Minister denied that there were any reasons for Seaman's resignation. Seaman later admitted that he had committed a "grave impropriety" during his time with the church, but that this was then investigated by a church commission and that he was allowed to keep his office.

Seaman remained governor until March 28, 1982.
