Keith Sweat
Keith Sweat (born July 22, 1961 in New York ; actually Keith Crier ) is an American R&B singer, songwriter and music producer .
biography
Since 1988 Sweat has sold over 15 million albums worldwide, had six number one hits and placed 20 songs in the English and American charts . There were also three multi-platinum albums, three platinum albums, and two gold albums, including The Best of Keith Sweat from 2004.
He was on the US Billboard charts for the first time in 1988 with I Want Her and reached fifth place on the pop charts, in the R&B charts it was Sweat's first number one hit. He had his greatest success in 1996 with Twisted , which rose to number 1 on the R&B charts and number 2 on the pop charts. After that he was able to place himself in the US charts several times with duets. With Athena Cage he sang Nobody , with whom he topped the R&B charts for three weeks, and the song reached third place in the pop charts. He later made records with Snoop Dogg , LL Cool J and Busta Rhymes and David Hollister. With Ayman he had a top 20 hit in Germany in 2000.
Sweat was part of LSG , an R&B group with Gerald Levert and Johnny Gill . The biggest hit of this group was My Body , which rose to number 4 on the US charts in 1997. The group fell silent with the death of Gerald Levert.
