Keito Nakamura ( Japanese 中 村 敬 斗 , Nakamura Keito ; born July 28, 2000 in Akibo ) is a Japanese football player who is currently under contract as a loan player from Gamba Osaka to the Belgian first division club VV St. Truiden . The flexible offensive player has been playing for the Japanese U20 national team since May 2019 .

Career

society

Keito Nakamura moved to Gamba Osaka from the youth department of amateur club Mitsubishi Yowa for the 2018 game year . Before that, VfB Stuttgart tested the flexible offensive player, but a change did not materialize. He made his debut on February 24 (1st matchday) in the 3-2 home defeat against Nagoya Grampus , when he was substituted on for South Korean Hwang Ui-jo in the 70th minute of the game . As a result, he established himself under head coach Kenta Hasegawa in the rotation. In the middle of the season he slipped out of the team and then played for the U23 team in the third-class J3 League . There he showed strong performances and then came back to the first team at the end of the season. On November 24th (33rd matchday) he scored his first goal for Osaka in a 2-1 home win against V-Varen Nagasaki . During this season he played 17 league games for the men's selection, in which he met once and 15 appearances for the reserve, in which he was able to collect four goals and three assists.

In the following season, 2019 , he did not come to regular appearances in the first team until June 2019, after he started the season with the reserves. By July he played seven games for the first team and scored once in six games for the U23.

On July 22, 2019, Keito Nakamura switched to the Dutch honorary division club FC Twente Enschede on loan for two years . The newcomer from the previous season has an option to make the offensive man a permanent part of the squad in July 2021. On the first day of the 2019/20 season against PSV Eindhoven , he scored his first goal for his new club after just eight minutes. The home game finally ended in a 1-1 draw. He scored again in the next league game in the 3-1 away win against FC Groningen . On September 15 (6th matchday) in the 3-2 away win against Fortuna Sittard , he netted his third time this season and also provided a template. In total, he scored four goals and one assist in 17 league games this season.

At the end of June 2020 this loan was terminated prematurely and a new loan was agreed with the Belgian first division partner VV St. Truiden .

National team

In 2015, Nakamura played four caps for Japan's U15 national team, in which he scored one goal.

In 2017 he was in action for the U17 . With this selection he took part in the U17 World Cup 2017 in India in October , where he was on the pitch in all four games and scored four goals. Including a hat trick in the 6-1 group game against Honduras . In the last sixteen they were eliminated in penalty shoot-out against eventual world champions England . In 12 appearances, he scored eight times in the U17.

With the U20 he took part in the U20 World Cup 2019 in Poland in May 2019 . There he also played all four games, but remained in these without scoring and failed in the round of 16 against South Korea .
