Kemalettin Şentürk (born February 9, 1970 in Artvin ) is a former Turkish football player and coach .

Player career

Kemalettin Şentürk's career began in the 1988/89 season with the then first division club Çaykur Rizespor . The team was relegated to the 2nd division this season, and he himself was used four times. Şentürk spent a total of three years in Rize. The rise with the club did not succeed. For the 1991/92 season he went to Gençlerbirliği Ankara in the capital . There he immediately became a regular player. After two years in Ankara, Şentürk was signed by the traditional club Fenerbahçe Istanbul .

At Fenerbahçe Istanbul he was under contract for nine years. During this time he played for the club in 156 league games and scored 21 goals. He won his first and only Turkish championship title there in the 1995/96 season. During the second half of the 1998/99 season he went on loan to MKE Ankaragücü . At the beginning of the 2000/01 season, the midfielder was loaned to Diyarbakırspor .

In the summer of 2002, Şentürk Fenerbahçe left Istanbul for good. He then played for a short time for Antalyaspor , Kahramanmaraşspor , Osmaniyespor , Kütahyaspor , Mustafa Kemalpaşaspor and MKE Kırıkkalespor . In 2006, Kemalettin Şentürk ended his career.

For Turkey , Şentürk played five times between 1995 and 1996 and scored one goal.

Coaching career

Şentürk was the assistant coach of Ergün Penbe in the 2008/09 season at Hacettepespor . He continued to follow Penbe as an assistant coach to Mersin İdman Yurdu , Kartalspor and Kayseri Erciyesspor, among others . After the 2010/11 season Ergün Penbe Kayseri and Kemalettin Şentürk also left. After Fikret Yılmaz resigned from Kayseri Erciyesspor on December 26, 2011, Şentürk took over the team. He signed for the remainder of the 2011-12 season. The promotion to the Süper Lig did not succeed and a contract extension was not offered to him.
