Kenneth Norman Fletcher (born June 15, 1940 in Brisbane , Queensland , † February 11, 2006 ibid) was an Australian tennis player . In the 1960s he was one of the most successful doubles and mixed players in the world. He won 10 Grand Slam titles during his career .
Career
He celebrated his greatest successes with Margaret Smith Court . In 1963, Fletcher and Court were the first and so far only pair to win all four Grand Slam tournaments of the year in mixed. Other Grand Slam titles both won at the Australian Open in 1964 and at Wimbledon in 1965, 1966 and 1968 .
With Roy Emerson Fletcher won the men's doubles at the French Open in 1964 and the men's doubles at Wimbledon alongside John Newcombe in 1966 .
As a single player, he only reached the final of a Grand Slam tournament once. In 1963 he lost to his compatriot Roy Emerson in the final of the Australian Open .
Fletcher died of cancer on February 11, 2006 at the age of 65.
