Kena Amoa (born September 30, 1970 in Leipzig ) is a German television presenter , editor and reporter .

Amoa is the son of a German mother and a Ghanaian father. He spent his childhood in the Ghanaian capital Accra before returning to Germany in 1979 .

As a singer of pop - trio Chess Amoa was in the 1993 chart hit If You Leave Me Now , a cover version of Chicago , involved -Klassikers and also sang on the two follow-singles I Need You (Curious Love) and Follow You . In 1997, a cover version of 1974 number one hit Rock Your Baby was released , a feature with original performer George McCrae .

After studying media education , Kena Amoa became known for several programs of her own on the radio station WDR Eins Live . He started his television career in 1995 with the WDR youth magazine Lollo Rosso . He moderated u. a. the WDR New Year's Eve Show , The Long Ski Night on VOX , Chart Attack on ZDF and the multimedia magazine di @ lneues on 3sat , the Studioeins on ARD and Girls Camp for Sat.1 . Kena Amoa worked for four years as a reporter, editor and author for the VOX lifestyle magazine Fit for Fun , before moving to Exclusiv - Das Starmagazin at RTL in 2004 , where he is part of the team around Frauke Ludowig and from 2007 to 2015 that Magazine regularly moderated as co-moderator. Since 2015 he has only moderated on behalf of Frauke Ludowig and Bella Lesnik .

Amoa is single and lives in Cologne .
