Kenny Wayne Shepherd
Kenny Wayne Shepherd (* 12. June 1977 in Shreveport , Louisiana ) is an American blues rock - musicians .
life and career
Self-taught , he began playing guitar at the age of seven by re- enacting licks by Muddy Waters . At the age of 13 he was brought onto a stage in New Orleans by the blues musicians Bryan Lee and Stevie Ray Vaughan . After he proved himself there, he decided to pursue a career as a musician. The good contacts of his father and manager Ken, a DJ and well-known figure in Shreveport, helped him to get a record deal with the major label Giant Records. His 1995 debut is called Ledbetter Heights and contains not only his own compositions but also some cover versions . Shepherd is on tour and in the studio with the Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band . On September 16, 2006, he married Hannah Gibson, the daughter of actor Mel Gibson .
In 2013 and 2016, Shepherd released two albums with Stephen Stills and Barry Goldberg under the band name The Rides .
His singer has been Noah Hunt from Cincinnati since 1996 , who also took on the lead vocals in his most famous song Blue on Black .
