Kerlon (born January 27, 1988 in Ipatinga , Minas Gerais , full name Kerlon Moura de Souza ) is a former Brazilian football player .

His trademark is the "seal trick", which is why he is also called foquinha (translated: the little seal), in which he balances the ball on his head over half the playing field and seems unstoppable.

Career

In the club

Kerlon began his career at the Brazilian club Cruzeiro Belo Horizonte , where he held the position of striker , and sometimes that of central midfielder . At the beginning of the 2008/2009 season, Kerlon moved to Italy to join Serie A promoted AC Chievo Verona for 1.3 million euros . He made his Serie A debut on October 29, 2008 in a 2-1 home game against Lazio . During the season he made three more appearances as he was out due to injury until the end of the season.

On July 7, 2009 it was announced that Kerlon will move to league competitor Inter Milan for free in the summer , where he received a contract until June 30, 2012.

At the beginning of the 2009/10 season , Kerlon was loaned out to Ajax Amsterdam for a year .

In the national team

At the U-17 South American Championship in Venezuela in 2005 , Kerlon was able to attract public attention for the first time. In addition to winning the tournament, he won the title of top scorer and was voted the best player of the tournament.
