Kerry Sherman

Kerry Sherman (* 4. October 1953 as Kerry MacDonald in Los Angeles County , California ) is an American actress .

Life

Sherman grew up as the daughter of vaudeville artists Peggy Ryan and Ray McDonald ; both parents worked in film and television, as well as acting on Broadway . She made her television debut in 1971 as a teenager in a guest role on Hawaii Five-Zero , in which her mother played the recurring role of Secretary Jenny . In 1977, her feature film debut in the horror comedy Satan's Cheerleaders at the side of John Ireland , Yvonne De Carlo and John Carradine . However, she was denied a career on the big screen; she was only seen in a minor supporting role in Steven Spielberg's 1941 comedy Where Please Go to Hollywood . She played a slightly bigger role than Rosalie in the 1982 action comedy Just 48 Hours .

From the mid-1970s to the mid-1980s, Sherman guest-starred on a number of television series, including The Six Million Dollar Man , Lou Grant, and Murder Is Her Hobby . She gained a certain prominence among US television audiences through her portrayal of Amy Perkins in the soap opera California Clan . Between 1984 and 1986 she was seen in 145 episodes of the series. In the late 1980s, she retired from show business.
