Fräulein Wunder was a four-piece pop-rock girl band from Friedberg in Hesse, founded in 2006 .
history
The four band members got together in 2006 to emulate their musical idols in their home hobby room. In 2007 they wrote their first songs and their first appearances soon followed. The group was initially founded under the name Puppenblut . The band name sHERO was then used temporarily until the final name Fräulein Wunder was found in 2008, based on the term “ Fräuleinwunder ” from the 1950s .
At one of their concerts, the music group was discovered by a record label . The record company put producers like Uwe Fahrenkrog-Petersen ( Nena ) and Inga Humpe ( 2raumwohnung ) at their side, with whom they wrote pieces for their first album, which was released in 2008.
The first single was when I was a boy and was released two weeks before the album was released. The song made it to number 16 on the charts.
The band is under contract with Universal Vertigo . In 2008 the band performed at the Rock am Ring festival, among others . Furthermore, from July to August 2008 , Fräulein Wunder was featured in daily contributions lasting several weeks, a so-called “band diary”, on the VIVA Live! to see, in which they introduced themselves as a newcomer band and staged their everyday life as a reality soap . In 2009 the band represented the state of Hesse at the Bundesvision Song Contest in Potsdam and took sixth place with the song Sternradio .
In December 2010 the band broke up.
