Kevin Pabst (born March 19, 1991 in Lörrach , Baden-Württemberg ) is a German trumpeter .

Life

Kevin Pabst has been taking trumpet lessons since he was nine. He graduated from high school in the summer of 2010. a. also in the music department and then began his community service in a local hospital. In August 2011, Pabst began a dual university course at a regional savings bank at DHBW Lörrach , specializing in financial services. In addition to various other projects, Kevin lives his passion for music.

Musical career

In 2003, at the age of twelve, Kevin Pabst won first prize at the German Music Council regional competition " Jugend musiziert " for trumpet and flugelhorn. In the same year he made his first appearances as a soloist with the Zillertalers, Florian Silbereisen as well as Oliver Thomas and Gaby Baginsky . Appearances in TV and radio broadcasts as well as gala appearances in Germany and abroad followed. In 2006 Kevin Pabst was appointed "Music Mentor" by the Federation of German Brass Music Associations. In 2007 he went on a Christmas tour with Gaby Albrecht , during which the composer and producer Walter Geiger became aware of him. In 2008 they produced Kevin Pabst's debut album "Kevins Melody" together. This was followed by guest appearances at concerts by Semino Rossi and Hansi Hinterseer and appearances as a pre-artist of the Amigos . In 2010 the album "A dream is free" was created, on which the Munich Philharmonic also participated.

As the musical ambassador of the “Singing with Children” foundation, Kevin Pabst also supports the patron Countess Bernadotte in her social commitment with a CD single, which he recorded in 2011 together with the singer Reiner Kirsten and the Aurelius Boys' Choir.

Kevin has been working with the singing group Die Junge Tenöre since 2012 . Under the slogan "Strahlende Klänge" they present trumpet and tenor singing both live and in TV broadcasts. With the title “Happy the whole world”, they appeared in June 2013 on the ARD broadcast Every Sunday . With the Christmas title "The Star of Bethlehem" they were u. a. invited to the Christmas Eve program by Carmen Nebel on ZDF .

In 2016 Pabst released his current album "#weltreise", which was already produced by his new producer Florian Schäfer from Vienna in collaboration with Walter Geiger. With the album, based on numerous global concert tours at home and abroad, Pabst went a new way both in terms of style and title, which he in 2019 with the program "#zeitreise", also the title of the album to be released in autumn 2019 , will be followed up.

Kevin Pabst has celebrated great success in the last few months at concerts with Paul Potts , Eva Lind , the group Voices of the Mountains or in numerous TV programs, such as on ZDF with Carmen Nebel , in which he together with the Berlin tenor Ilja Martin and the well-known Singer Ella Finally presented the title " Silent Night " as the final highlight of the show. In 2019 Kevin Pabst will go on tour again with the world-famous star tenor Paul Potts . His new album #zeitreise was also released at the end of 2019.
