Keyvan Ghanbarzadeh (born May 26, 1990 in Bābol ) is an Iranian high jumper .

Athletic career

Keyvan Ghanbarzadeh gained his first international experience at the 2007 World Youth Championships in Ostrava , where he was eliminated with 1.95 m in qualification. In 2009 he took part in the Asian Championships in Guangzhou , where he finished fourth with 2.15 m. A year later he won the silver medal at the Asian Indoor Championships in Tehran and finished eighth at the Asian Games in Guangzhou with 2.19 m. In 2011 he finished sixth at the Asian Championships in Kobe , as well as at the World Student Games in Shenzhen. In 2013 Ghanbarzadeh won the gold medal at the Islamic Solidarity Games in Palembang as well as the silver medal at the Asian Championships in Pune with 2.21 m.

In 2014 he again took part in the Asian Games in Incheon , South Korea , where he did not cross any height in the final. In 2015 he finished fifth at the Asian Championships in Wuhan with 2.20 m, as well as at the Military World Games in Mungyeong in October. In 2016 he finished fourth at the Asian Indoor Championships in Doha with a height of 2.20 m . At the Islamic Solidarity Games 2017 in Baku he won the bronze medal and finished sixth at the Asian Championships in Bhubaneswar . At the beginning of September, with a new indoor record of 2.26 m, he won the silver medal at the Asian Indoor & Martial Arts Games in Ashgabat, behind the Syrian Majd Eddin Ghazal . In 2018 he took part in the Asian Indoor Championships in Tehran and also won the silver medal there with 2.15 m. The following year he finished eleventh at the Asian Championships in Doha with a height of 2.15 m.

In 2019, Ghanbarzadeh became Iranian high jump indoor champion.
