Khâi-Ma ( English Khâi-Ma Local Municipality ) is a local municipality in the Namakwa district of the South African province of Northern Cape . The seat of the municipal administration is in Pofadder . Mayor is Pasqueline van Heerden.

The community name is a Khoi word meaning "get up". The residents of the community have been disadvantaged in the past and their goal is to assert themselves in the future.

In 2011 the community had 12,465 inhabitants. 75.1% of these were colored , 17.6% black and 6% white. 81.3% Afrikaans, 10.7 % Setswana , 2.2% isiXhosa and 1.2% English were spoken.
