Nama Khoi ( English Nama Khoi Local Municipality ) is a local municipality in the district of Namakwa in the South African province of Northern Cape . The seat of the local government is in Springbok . Mayor is Lorenzo Faber.

The local community was named in honor of the ancestors of the original population of the Namaqualand and therefore comes from the vocabulary of the Khoikhoi .

In 2011 the community had 47,041 inhabitants. 88.1% of these were colored , 6.6% white and 4.2% black. 93.2% Afrikaans and 1% each English and isiXhosa were spoken .
