KiKA figures in Erfurt

The KiKA figures in Erfurt are sculptures of well-known figures from the field of children's media , which are set up in the Thuringian capital Erfurt . The idea for setting up the figures goes back to the tenth anniversary of the children's channel in 2007.

The figures are popular photo motifs, but also targets of vandalism, and are intended to promote Thuringia as a children's media location.

Thomas Lindner		 The sculpture Bernd das Brot was the first figure to be placed next to the Erfurt town hall in July 2007. He was kidnapped in 2009 and only reappeared days later.
The sandman on the bench at the Rathausbrücke Sandman Kreuzgasse behind the Krämerbrücke October 2008 Christian Paschold The sandman was placed on a bench by the Rathausbrücke in 2008, the second figure after Bernd the Bread . Because of the renovation work on the Rathausbrücke, the Sandman moved to Kreuzgasse (just behind the Krämerbrücke). It stays there now.

Thomas Lindner (elephant)		 The famous mouse and the Blue Elephant are on the Anger to find. The previous location was on the island behind the town hall bridge near the Sandman.

At the end of July 2019, the figure of Hein Blöd was beheaded by strangers. The rest of the figure, including Captain Blaubär and the boat, were then removed to save children from seeing. In November 2019, the figure was placed back in the same place with a new head.

( map ) 		November 14, 2017 The goblin Pittiplatsch has been sitting on a bench on the renovated Rathausbrücke since 2017. In his hands he is holding a six-spoke steering wheel, which is taken from the logo of the city of Erfurt and can ultimately be traced back to the Erfurt coat of arms . At the beginning of December 2018, Pittiplatsch fell victim to vandalism: his captain's hat was torn off. The hat was quickly found and the repaired figure was installed in its old location just a few days later.
